Jeff Cassinelli's teaching experience is extraordinary. He has been teaching in the Sacramento area for nearly 30 years. His long relationships with many local studios keeps him on pulse with the industry in the area. With his long local teaching history, Jeff has had the pleasure of becoming part of the lives of many of his long-term students, even seeing some of them marry and begin their own families.
Jeff's passionate pursuit of music has taken him through training for choir, music theory, percussion, and guitar. The styles he enjoys to play and teach span classic rock, blues, R&B, rock and roll, contemporary Christian and worship, folk, and solo finger-picking styles. Jeff has also performed solos or inensembles for weddings, funerals, restaurants, coffee houses, private parties,
charity events, newscasts, recording studios, churches as a worship leader, and other venues.
Together with his wife, Linda, Jeff homeschooled their son, Daniel, who suffers from attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD). In order to effectively help his son, Jeff educated himself with many books on the subject and also pursued special training on how to teach children with ADHD. As a result of his parents' dedication, Daniel is now studying at the American River College where he is majoring in music. His future plans are pursuing a career as a public school music teacher. Jeff's patience and understanding translates to his teaching as he pours into his students each week in their lesson.
Betty Price
Piano, Keyboard
From a very early age, Betty Price showed a love for music. She began formal piano lessons at the age of nine. At 12, she was accompanying the church choir. Since then, she has been performing on piano, saxophone, mandolin, bass guitar, and vocals in a variety of ensembles; many of which she organized and directed herself. She has performed in numerous churches and schools, for a variety of programs and events in the Chicago and Orange County areas. Betty also performed in the National Romanian Christian Convention in 1993, 1994, and 1996. She won the Corona Christian Center Music Award in 1987. Betty’s strengths lie in classical, sacred and contemporary worship music.
Betty enjoys teaching music of all styles to students of all ages. Through her own personal experience and her research of studies done all
over the world, Betty believes strongly that skills-based music education (music theory) offers countless benefits to children of all ages. According to the National Association for Music Education (MENC), “Researchers found that children given piano lessons significantly improved in their spatial-temporal IQ scores compared to children who received computer lessons, casual singing, or no lessons.” And because of Betty’s many years of musical training with an emphasis on music theory and ear training, it is only natural for her to teach all her students with the same beneficial emphasis.
Betty currently lives in Roseville, CA with her husband, Chuck, and their three children. She and Chuck are thankful for the opportunity to own and operate CB Music Studios. They home school their two oldest children.
